While transferring funds through Western Union one should remember that there is a transfer limit which means that the sender will be able to send a certain amount of money within a month. WU allows you to send up to 3000 USD but if you verify your identity, you are allowed to send up to 50,000 USD.
The transfer limit may vary from country to country and also depends upon various factors like sender’s history of transactions, receiver’s history, payment method and sender’s and recipient’s country.
How many Times can I receive Western Union in a Month?
Just Like transfer limit, there is also a receiving limit which means that a person will be able to receive a certain amount in 30 days. Normally, most of the customers are allowed to receive 5-7 transfers in 30 days and if he or she exceeds this limit then they have to wait for a period of 30 days in order to receive another amount.
The limit may not be available for all receiving countries and is subject to restrictions based on various factors. The receiving limit can vary with respect to both the sender’s and the receiver’s country, and also their transaction history etc.
Western Union Limit Exceeded, What Now?
If you have exceeded Western Union limit then your transactions will be halted or delayed so a person has to wait for at least 30 days in order to make another transaction. Most Western Union customers know that whenever their transaction has been halted, they receive an error code that indicates a specific issue.
In case of exceeding limit, the customer will receive error code C2201 that will indicate that the customer who is trying to make a transaction has exceeded his monthly limit that is why the transaction has been declined or halted, therefore, he has to wait for 30 days in order to make another transaction.
